Norma’s New Hair Do
Norma Mitchell recently had her hair cut to donate to the Little Princess Trust and at the same time raise £160 in sponsorship for Ty Olwen. Thank you Norma and all your supporters.
Pheonix Ladies Circle
We were very pleased to visit the Pheonix Ladies Circle in Murton last night and receive a cheque from them for £750 towards Ty Olwen. Secretary and Assistant Chairperson Cynthia Hicks presented the cheque to Helen on behalf of the group. Thank you also for the anonymous additional donation of £100 from one of their members who couldn’t be present but had experienced first hand the care that Ty Olwen gives.

Baby Felix and Sister Karren
Sister Karren, Staff Nurse Maria and Health Care Assistant Aimee were delighted to meet up with husband Kevin and the family of Jenny Harwood this week when they returned to Ty Olwen to present a cheque for £685, the proceeds of a ‘Musical Evening’ held at the Bay View in celebration of Jenny’s life. In the photo Kevin presented the cheque to Maria whilst sons Rene and Paul looked on and Sister Karren was left literally holding the baby – grandson Felix. It was also nice to meet Jenny’s mum Edna who joined us but wasn’t keen to have her photo taken!

Tabernacle and Ty Olwen
A retiring collection at last year’s service of Nine Lessons and Carols at Tabernacle Chapel, Morriston raised £1,000 for Ty Olwen Hospice. Five choirs took part, Tabernacle Choir, Morriston Ladies Choir, Morriston Rugby Club Choir and Lon Las and St Joseph’s Primary School Choirs. Marilyn Roberts, Chairman of Tabernacle Choir supported by Janice Walters of Morriston Ladies Choir and Seiriol Evans of the Rugby Club Choir presented a cheque to Mrs Helen Murray at Sunday nights first rehearsal of 2019
Langland Bay Golf Club Seniors
Health Care Support Workers Tracy and Ceri joined Paul Murray to receive a donation of £800 from Alun Edwards, last years Seniors Captain, who chose Ty Olwen as his charity of the year. This continues a long association with Langland Bay Golf Club and we are always grateful for their support.
