Thank you to Mainwaring’s Angling Centre in Sketty and PAKA (Pleasure Angling and Kayak Association) for organising a Fishing Competition on Swansea Bay on Sunday 23rd February when over £1000 was raised for Ty Olwen. A particular thanks to all who took part on the day. Sadly somebody had forgotten to tell the fish that there was a competition on and very few appeared during the day. It was good to see young Jac (pictured) and James taking part. The eventual winner was Chris Stevens with a 1lb. codling. Everybody seemed to have a good day out despite the lack of fish and windy conditions. Thankfully the rain that was forecast did not appear.

Thanks go to all those who made donations and supported the various events that were organised.

Skeggs Challenge
My challenge is to run/walk 5 marathons, 5 half marathons, 5 10k races and 5 5k races. As well as this i will be taking part in the Morfa to Verdi’s run in April as well.
I will also be slimming at the same time and pledge to lose 4 stone this year.
My brother in law has pancreatic cancer and he goes to Ty Olwen hospice day centre twice a week, and he has been an inpatient as well.
I cannot emphasise enough the important work they do, and they need £400,000 per year to carry out the vital work they do. Even £1 will help, so please dig deep.
I will update this page soon with a list of runs im doing, and the dates.
My weight loss challenge starts tomorrow, so please give all you can.
