Good to visit the Colliers Arms on Swansea Enterprise Park tonight to receive £800, the proceeds of a fundraising evening last Friday in aid of Ty Olwen. Helen was delighted to spend time with (from the left) Anya, Sarah-Lee, Landlord Kevin, Janine and Tracey who organised the evening and talk about the wondeful staff of Ty Olwen who they had experienced first hand. Thanks to Carl who had his head shaved, Rob who had his chest waxed and all who helped in any way. Over £700 was raised in the evening and Kevin, an amazing fundraiser, made up the total.

Virgin Atlantic
Every year, as a team we like to get involved with charities and we all choose one that’s close to our heart. We all know someone who’s been affected by Cancer, so we all thought it would be lovely this year, to hand over a hamper to Ty Olwen for the staff and families to enjoy over Christmas.

Jonathan and Kim – Gower Golf Club
When Jonathan Campbell was chosen as the Gower Golf Club Captain for 2016/17 he followed tradition and nominated a charity for the year. He chose Ty Olwen because he said he was aware of the excellent work that we offer the community and furthermore a close friend had recently benefitted from respite at the hospice. Having met his wife he had no hesitation in nominating the Ty Olwen Trust in his memory.
The Ladies Captain Mrs Kim Hughes agreed with his choice and chose to join her charitable events with his. There have been a number of events throughout the year starting with the Captain’s charity dinner in November followed by Spring and Summer Balls. The main fundraiser was the Captain’s Charity Golf Day with over 120 participants which raised over £1000. This with other events and various donations brought the total to over £3,420.
He wants to thank all the members of the Gower Golf Club together with family and friends who supported the events especially Kim and the Ladies section for their support throughout the year.
Jonathan added “I sincerely hope that this donation will contribute to the excellent work at Ty Olwen and the trust.”
