Hazel James of Cwmllynfell ‘Braved the Shave’ for Ty Olwen at the beginning of the month and raised an amazing £1,077 for us. Thank you Hazel and your husband Adrian for his support to you. We must also thank Angela George of the New Image Hair Salon in Ystalyfera who gave her services free of charge and all those who supported Hazel. Dr Idris Baker was on hand to receive the cheque from Hazel at Ty Olwen today.

Good to call in at Daysfleet, Garngoch last week and meet again with Donna (The Tuck Shop Queen) with colleagues Lauren and Rebecca and update their certificate recognising the fact that they have raised over £7,300 for Ty Olwen so far.
Pontardawe Seniors
Good to welcome back to Ty Olwen David Thompson (Chairman) and Glyn Davies (Secretary) from the Ponatrdawe Golf Club – Seniors Section who once again this year have made their annual donation from the proceeds of the Jack Williams Cup Competition. The amount was made up to £300 and David made the presentation to two of our wonderful staff Mel and Ella.
Fairwood Park Golf Club
Fairwood Park Golf Club ‘Company Day’ expertly organised by Rod Morgan and aided by many of the members was a tremendous success. The event was well supported by many companies and organisations throughout the area and with over 30 teams taking part the day raised £1595 for Ty Olwen, their chosen charity for the year. Club President, Jeff Bowen, made the presentation to Helen Murray.
Edwards Holidays On Board
Welcome to our newest supporters! Edwards Holidays in Plymouth St, Swansea have recently taken collecting boxes. Pictured with Jessica Davies, assistant manager is Nicola Hendy who is running the Port Talbot Half Marathon on August 12th. A coffee morning is also planned in early September.

Ellie’s Cakes
Thank you to 15 year old Ellie Davies and her school friends in Dyffryn Amman School, Ammanford. They baked these lovely cakes in memory of her Bampi who passed away at Ty Olwen. By selling the cakes to fellow students and staff at the school they raised a wonderful £215-50 for us.
The Aled Wyn Evans Charity Golf Day
We were delighted to welcome Tracey Evans, her Mum Daphne and cousin Wyn to Ty Olwen tonight to receive a cheque for £2000 from the proceeds of the 5th Annual Charity Golf Day in memory of Aled Wyn Evans. Ty Olwen staff Maria and Ceri were on hand to receive the cheque.
The Little Cake Table
The Little Cake Table has been open on sunny Saturdays and Sundays in May and June and raised more than £1500 for Tŷ Olwen.
Found on the path between Rotherslade and Langland bays, locals and visitors alike have been generously donating in exchange for a slice of homemade deliciousness.
Joanna and her mum Valmai will be baking cakes and raising funds throughout July and August so please support them, and us, if you are walking the coastal path in the coming weeks.
