A concert in memory of Ann Thomas who died on Christmas Day 2013 was organised by her sister Jean Llewellyn and brother Malcolm Evans and featured Neath Male Choir with family friend Gail Pearson as the guest soprano. A total of £2,000 was raised at the concert which took place at St. David’s Church, Neath and Jean and Malcolm along with Musical Director Lyn Evans presented the cheque to Mrs Helen Murray of Ty Olwen at a rehearsal this week in Neath.

The Valley Hotel, Bishopston
The Valley Hotel, Bishopston Ladies Social Darts Team have presented Ty Olwen Trust Chairman Helen Murray with a cheque for £600, the proceeds of their ‘Social Evenings’. The cheque was presented by Judith Morse on behalf of the group and is pictured with Val Halsey and Sue Richards.

Residents of Pantyfedwen Sheltered Housing Complex recently held an Auction amongst themselves and raised the sum of £325 for Ty Olwen which they presented to Mrs Bartlett.
1st Trallwn Guide Company
Helen Murray recently visited the 1st Trallwn Guide Company to accept a donation for Ty Olwen of £400 raised by the Brownies and Guides during a sponsored “Walk and Sing” around the Fenrod Lake
Jayne’s Skydive
Mrs Jayne Bartram recently visited Ty Olwen to present a massive cheque for £1710-50 the proceeds of a Skydive she did in memory of Mr Michael Pritchard who sadly passed away in October at Ty Olwen. She was accompanied by Mr Pritchard’s wife and daughter Carly who are seen presenting the cheque to Margaret Bartlett, Chairman of the Ty Olwen Trust.
Beaufort Lodge Non-Masonic Charity Donations
Every year, the ruling Master of the Beaufort Lodge hosts several social evenings, which are organised on his behalf by the Lodge Social Committee. In his year W. Master Bob Dowdle held a Quiz Night at Dunvant Rugby Club, together with the Lodge Christmas Dinner and the annual Ladies festival at the Connaught Hall. All three events were very well supported and donations of £200 each were made to Ty Olwen, SSAFFA and Epilepsy Action. President M

British Home Stores Swansea
Customers of British Home Stores have been supporting Ty Olwen. BHS are supporting various charities this year and Ty Olwen are grateful to be one of those chosen. Their customers have been making donations and purchasing pens and pin badges and Sam Jones, Operations Manager at the Swansea store recently presented over £200 to Ty Olwen Vice Chairman Paul Murray.
National Farmers Union Gower Ladies
The Chairman was delighted to make a return visit to the NFU Gower Ladies group to join them for their Christmas celebration and to receive a cheque for £500. The Ladies chose Ty Olwen as their charity for the year and have held a number of events to raise the money.
