Staff from NPT Homes Raise £4294.54 for Local Charity Ty Olwen

Last Autumn staff at NPT Homes were asked to nominate a charity that they were passionate about for the organisation to support for a year. Local charity Ty Olwen came out on top and staff have raised £4294.54 for the worthwhile cause.

The local charity provides extra comforts and amenities for patients with advanced incurable disease that are not normally provided by the health authority, a charity which has touched the lives of many members of staff from NPT Homes.

Over the course of the year teams across the organisation have raised funds with book sales, cake raffles, opening tuck shops and donating lottery winnings.

However the bulk of the money raised for the charity came after several members of staff from NPT Homes and their friends took part in the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge in June. The total raised

NPT Homes staff will soon vote on their chosen charity for 2013 and have several charity fundraising ideas lined up already.

Chief Executive Linda Whittaker said:

“As a local organisation with a focus on community it was wonderful that our staff nominated Ty Olwen as our chosen charity for the year.

They are to be commended for raising a fantastic sum of money for such a worthwhile cause, which I’m sure will make a real difference to Ty Olwen.

They will soon vote on the chosen charity for 2013 and aim to raise as much funds as possible.”

Helen Murray, Chairman of the Ty Olwen Trust, added

“We at Ty Olwen are constantly amazed at the generosity of the people who support us. Not only do they donate much needed funds for our charity but also give freely of their time.  Well done and thank you to everyone at NPT Homes for raising such a magnificent sum of money.”
