Over £3500 has been raised for Ty Olwen at a “Pink Pamper Party” held at Ynystawe Cricket Club organised by Ty Olwen Staff Nurse Karren Roberts. This is the third year that she has organised the event, which were initially held at her home, and had previously raised over £2000. Before the event Karen had said :
“I’m passionate about my work and the staff and patients at Ty Olwen are all fantastic. We provide a comfortable, friendly home away from home and the staff give outstanding care to all the patients.
“This year, we wanted to have a bigger venue and booked Ynystawe Cricket Club. People have been very generous with donations and giving their time, but we are always looking for more.
“The money we raise this year will go to buy the nice things for the unit that the NHS simply can’t afford.”
There is no doubt that the staff of Ty Olwen are an amazing and unique team!
