Mary’s Big Night Out for Carol

It’s just hair

Mary Halloran who with wife Danielle McCusker co-owns Floyd’s Hairdressing  has carried out her promise to have her iconic hairdo shaved as a tribute to Carol Davies, a close friend and well known resident of Port Tennant who died at Ty Olwen earlier this year.  Speaking at the concert at the Naval & Military Club, Carol explained that she wanted to raise money for Ty Olwen to give something back to the wonderful staff who she said gave care, love and respect to Carol in her final days. She went on to say “Carol loved my hair and I thought it was a fitting thing to do as no one would ever think that Mary from Floyd’s would ever chop off her trademark hairdo”.R M RC M RIt was Carol’s daughter Taffy Davies who was given the honour of cutting off Mary’s hair.  A packed club were treated to a wonderful night of entertainment and the total raised by the end of the evening was approaching £8000. Among those taking part and supporting Mary were West End Star Ria Jones, Ceri Dupree and Wendy Kane along with the much loved Welsh actress Ruth Madoc.
