Education and Training

Since the formation of the Trust in 1981 financial support has been given to Doctors, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Chaplains and Volunteers to attend training courses and conferences to enable them to keep up to date with Palliative Care.  With this training commitment in place we are able to ensure that our patients receive the best, most appropriate and up to date care possible.

Most recently support was given to 3 of our Volunteers to attend a course at St. Christopher’s Hospice, the birth place of the modern hospice movement, on Complimentary Therapies for Palliative Care.

Ty Olwen’s reputation as a centre of excellence in its field brings health care professionals from this country and abroad to learn about our methods.
